Family Events

Camp Chit Chat

This is an opportunity for girls and their parent/guardians to come and ask questions about Camp Foxtail. Come and speak with Camp Staff to find out what Camp Foxtail is all about!

Spring Cleaning for Camp Foxtail

Come help us get Camp Foxtail ready for the summer! After a long winter, we need to air out cabins and spruce up the place. Come and have fun! Lunch and dinner will be provided.

Open House

This is an opportunity for families to visit and explore what Camp Foxtail has to offer. You can take a tour of the camp facilites and meet the camp staff. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the cool mountain air! Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water.

He and Me

Experience the wonders of summer camp with an adult male partner! This is an opportunity for a girl(s) and the special man in her life (dad, grandpa, uncle, foster parent or any male over the age of 18) to attend three days of camp! This session will provide an opportunity to bond with your girl and have fun crafting, singing, playing games, hiking and much more!


Age level: Girls entering grades 1-5 and their adult male partner

She and Me

Experience the wonders of summer camp with an adult female partner! This is an opportunity for a girl(s) and the special woman in her life (mom, grandma, aunt, foster parent or any female over the age of 18) to attend three days of camp! This session will provide an opportunity to bond with your girl and have fun crafting, singing, playing games, hiking and much more!

Special Camping Events

KIT Camp

Kids Intro to Camp is a one day session for entering grades K-3 who want to experience some of the great things that Camp Foxtail has to offer! Girls will sing songs, do camp crafts and make new friends and be home for dinner. For this session, full payment must accompany this registration form. A confirmation packet will be mailed with further information.

Family Camping

Does your family like to camp? Do you want to find out more about Camp Foxtail? You and your family can join us for fun camp activities like games, singing songs and campfires! You bring your own food, we provide the activities! Each family will be responsible for their own transportation to camp and should come prepared to store, prepare and cook their own food. Don’t forget to bring sleeping bags or bed rolls to sleep in! Bathroom and shower facilities will be available. For this session, full payment must accompany this registration form.

Core Camp

Core Camp is an opportunity for your troop to go camping for the first time. Your troop will be able to stay in cabins at Camp Foxtail in the beautiful Lee Canyon Area of Mt. Charleston. All meals except one dinner are cooked for your troop. Different camp program is available for your troop to choose from. Each troop will choose 5 program activities and a schedule will be provided for your troop on the first morning of your session. All program activities will be facilitated by summer camp staff. Troop leaders will participate in their troop’s sessions. Cost of this session includes all meals and program supplies and a patch. For this session, full payment must accompany this registration form.

Who: Brownie and Junior Troops
Cost: $50.00 per girl with 2 free adults per troop.
(all other adults must pay $50.00 each, only the number of safety wise ratio required adults will be permitted to register)
Fee includes all meals and craft supplies, patch and program staff.

Ready, Set, Go! Short and Sweet Camping

This special camp session is ideal for the youngest girls not quite ready for a full week at camp but who are ready to embark on their first trip away from home. Sample the many activities available at Camp Foxtail such as hiking, games, campfires, songs, nature crafts and plenty of fun. Bring a camp buddy and share twice the fun!

Ready, Set, Go! Short & Sweet Camp Together

Dessert Before Dinner

If you love cookies and brownies, then this is the session for you! Spend your days at camp mixing, pouring, baking and making tasty treats to share with your new camp buddies at dinner. Create your own cookbook to take home so you can recreate your masterpieces for your family!

Sports Fan

Get Your Groove On

Five, six, seven, eight! Choreograph, practice and perform a dance routine for the whole camp. Sample hip-hop, line dance, salsa, belly dance, hula and modern dance. Move your feet all over camp as you hike, do crafts and sing songs.

Pedal Pushers

Bring your bike, helmet and energy to Camp Foxtail’s terrain! If you don’t have a bike, we have some you can use. During the day you will travel on two wheels instead of two legs! You will also be exploring all that camp has to offer including cookouts, games, songs and crafts.

Extreme Adventure- FULL

For the more adventurous camper! How does hiking, biking, ROPES course and rock climbing sound? This session includes a hike to the top of Sponge Creek, a trip to the Clark County ROPES course and a night camping outside of camp!

Shakespeare in the Woods

Talk about full immersion in the Shakespeare experience! From Hamlet to Midsummer’s Night Dream and sewing your own Renaissance costume and attend a masquerade ball! This session includes a trip to Cedar City, Utah for the Utah Shakespearean Festival. In addition to your stay at Camp Foxtail, you will stay in university dorm rooms. You will experience an evening Green Show, an official back stage tour and see three plays! There will also be a day sight-seeing in Cedar Breaks National Monument.

Amazing Race Backpackers

Ever want to hike Bristlecone Trail or Mary Jane Falls or even rock climb in Zion? This is the session for you! You will hike in these places and much more. You will stay overnight in Zion and tour the park. This is a traveling session specially made for girls who like to hike, rock climb, backpack and tent camp.

A Star is Born

Do you like to entertain all of your friends? Let your star shine bright when you take part in skits, songs and dance and other stage production in this fun-filled session! Experiment with stage make-up and show your talent during the all-camp talent show.

Project Runway

Do you love design, fashion and thrift stores? You will shop in several local thrift shops to pick out your own “work in progress”. Learn to sew and redesign your thrift store finds using hand and machine techniques. You will strut your design at the Camp catwalk fashion show.

Leadership Opportunities

Camp Program Aide

Do you think you would like to be a camp counselor someday? This program is for girls who would like to improve their leadership skills and enjoy working with younger girls in a camp setting. Learn about camp crafts, games, songs, archery and the basics of leading a group of girls. But you can still be a camper and enjoy all the daily camp activities. Spend your time improving you camping skills and assisting in units of younger girls. You will be working on the completion of “Program Aide Specialization”

Counselor in Training

Are you interested in developing your leadership skills? Would you like to work at Camp Foxtail in the future? Do you have an interested in a career in the outdoors and with children? The CIT I, CIT II and Internship sessions offer an opportunity to learn and practice skills needed to become a camp counselor. These sessions are designed to help you learn about effective leadership. In CIT I, you will observe units of all age levels, help with program activites. You will create a notebook that will include written assignments and ideas for instructions for program activities. In CIT II, you choose a specialty area and work intensively to learn the job. You will expand your CIT I notebook with more program ideas and information about managing and working with campers. More time will be spent working with campers and you will be implementing assigned activities. For the Internship session, you must have completed CIT I and CIT II.
