Why Give? Why Girl Scouts?
Invest in a Strong Future— for Girls
More than ever, girls today are searching
for a safe place to belong. They need a place where they
can make a contribution—a place where they can participate
as meaningful members of society. The Girl Scouts ofFrontier
Council provides a healthy alternative for girls who are
searching for a place to belong.
Girl
Scouting makes a Difference
For ninety years, Girl Scouting has helped
each generation of girls face new challenges: new moral issues,
new opportunities and new technology.
As with any non-profit organization, Girl Scouting relies
heavily on donations and contributions for it's financial
well-being. The opportunities offered to the girls in our
community can only exist with the continued and expanded
adult generated funding. The family of every Frontier Council
member is asked to give an annual financial contribution
to support the program, services and facilities provided
to the girls. While many families give their time and efforts,
the council must also ask each family to financially support
the program in order to ensure a sound future for girl scouting
in our community. "Who Pays
for Girl Scouting?" shows the interdependence of
financial contributions of girls and their families, the
troop/group, the council and the community.
Community individuals and businesses also play an important
role in the fiscal health of our organization. Each year,
Girl Scouts of Frontier Council hosts a wide variety of events
and campaigns; including Desert
Before Dinner, Betty
Shults Endowment Scholarship, Camperships, and the Friends
and Family Partnerships. Girl Scouts of Frontier Council
also offers Planned Giving,
and other long term opportunities for giving.
By donating to the council, girls receive the message they
are valued. Donations make it clear to them just how important
they are. Your donation makes it possible to help girls experience
the outstanding opportunities available to them through the
Girl Scout program. As a general rule, gifts given to the
council are tax deductible. An individual troop/group, or
Juliette is not a legal entity in and of itself, and therefore
gifts given to them are not tax deductible. Check with your
tax consultant for further information.
To obtain a copy of the current budget listed in the Annual
Report, or to discover the many ways you, too, can
