Juliette  Program Activities

Juliette Activities

Girl Scouting is the partnership of girls and adults working together. Juliette Girl Scouts should participate in activities that are appropriate for their age level. A wide variety of ideas can be found in the Girl Scout Handbook, as well as many activities provided by the Council Program Department and the local Service Units. Juliette Girl Scouts should be supervised by adults at all times. Written Parent Permission to participate is required for all activities facilitated by other adults, regardless if the parent is present during the activity or not.

Horseback RiderCouncil Events

Council wide events are planned and organized by the council with volunteer assistance. Juliettes are welcome to participate in ANY council level event scheduled. Juliettes will need to be accompanied by an adult when participating in any council level event, unless otherwise noted. Tag-alongs (siblings/friends) are not allowed at events, unless otherwise noted. Registration is required for all events, using the Member Event Registration Form (pdf PDF 30KB or word Word 94 KB).

The schedule of events is listed in each month on the council web site. Some events are age level specific and others are open to all age levels. All registered Juliette Girl Scouts MUST HAVE A COMPLETED PARENT PERMISSION FORM to participate in any event (even if their parent accompanies them).

Service Unit Events & Special Juliette Events

Service unit events are held within your neighborhood area for all registered troops, groups, and Juliettes. You will be contacted by the Juliette Guide or event coordinator with information on these special events. Registration is required for all special events. You will receive registration information with the special event announcement. Juliettes will need to be accompanied by an adult, unless otherwise noted. Other special events will be scheduled JUST FOR JULIETTES! You will receive program announcements as these events are planned.

Patch Programs

In addition to the National Recognitions, Frontier Council has developed Patch Programs with required activities. All of the activities are theme oriented, and many different choices are offered. After completing these required activities, you may purchase the patch at the Council Shop.

Resident Camp

Camp Foxtail is a non-troop/group camping experience for Brownie through Senior Girl Scouts. The council provides a complete camp staff, site and facilities. Girls register for resident camp as individuals. Camp sessions are from several days to a week long, depending on the special focus of the session. A camp catalog will be provided to every registered Girl Scout and has complete information and schedules for Resident Camp sessions. Resident Camp runs from June through August of each year.  Camp Foxtail is an American Camping Association accredited camp facility and is located in the Lee Canyon area of Mt. Charleston. Financial assistance is available for resident camp experiences and application is included in the Camp Catalog!

Destinations

A Studio 2B Destination program is a chance to go somewhere new, do something different, and meet people from everywhere you can imagine. There are many different types of events to choose from. You can travel around the corner or around the globe. Destinations are constantly being added. Information regarding destinations program opportunities can be found at www.studio2b.org. Don’t be intimidated by the price! There may be funding available from the council or from GSUSA.
