Girl
Scouts of Frontier Council's Gold Award Alliance is a council
operational mentoring committee comprised of adult members
of Girl Scouting, community members, and young women who
have an interest in or have earned the Girl Scout Gold Award.
The committee exists to support girls ages 14-18 in their
journey to earn the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest award
in Girl Scouting.
Formation of a Girl Scout Gold Award Alliance was passed
by the delegates of the 1993 GSUSA National Council Session.
Purpose
The Gold Award Alliance serves several purposes. They are:
to reinforce Girl Scouting and the
Girl Scout Gold Award as a way for girls to develop and
use their leadership skills to affect a positive change
in a girl's community
to support and encourage all girls who
wish to earn the Girl Scout Gold Award.
assist in review and approval of Girl
Scout Gold Award projects as assigned
provide encouragement and guidance for
project completion
assist in disseminating information
and opportunities about the Girl Scout Gold Award
assist in the recruitment of project
advisors in the community
assist in the recruitment of other Gold
Award Alliance members

The volunteer experience (GAA

as a Gold Award Alliance member involves a commitment of
time and a mentoring relationship to help a girl succeed
in her goal setting, planning, and the actual fulfillment
of her project. If you are interested, please complete
a Gold
Award Alliance Interest form ( or ),
and a council staff member will
contact you for appointment to the committee. Current registration
with the Girl Scouts of
the USA is required.
The Gold Award Alliance Committee meets monthly. Gold Award
Project proposals are done by appointment only. For more
