Girl Scouts of the USA is currently at work on The Girl’s Guide to Girl Scouting, which will provide updated badge activities and handbook information for girls.
It will be available beginning in September 2011. There will be a Girl’s Guide for each of our six grade levels. From September 2011 forward, as girls transition into new levels, they can begin enjoying the new badges in The Girl’s Guide to Girl Scouting.
What do you do between now and September 20011? In Girl Scouting, you do journeys and badge activities! Help girls choose a journey and continue enjoying the current badge activities. The third journey, It's Your Story - Tell It! is scheduled to be out Dec. 2010. Check out the online “Journey Maps” for examples of using journeys and badges together for a great GS experience!
Please note that there are no further details to share at this time because the work is still in progress.

The 100th Anniversary of Girl Scouting is fast approaching, and a team is exploring options for a 100th anniversary celebration.
The idea: We are considering a large-scale event, most likely to include a large sing-along (similar to the one held at the National Mall in Washington DC, as well as possible additional entertainment and fireworks.) Many, many details are yet to be determined.
