Areas
of Activities
Girl
Scouts activities are girl planned and should be fun; and
suit the mental, emotional, physical, and social development
of the girls at each different age level; help them increase
their skills and knowledge at their own pace; provide opportunities
for them to plan and assume responsibility; compliment
rather than duplicate other learning experiences and provide
outlets for the girl's interests.
The activities
of the Girl Scout Program are divided into five areas of
interest to provide a framework for a balanced program.
Well-Being- which includes activities
that focus on physical and emotional health, nutrition
and exercise, interpersonal relationships, the home, safety,
work, and leisure.

awareness of the various cultures in our society and around
the world and on building pride in one's own heritage while
appreciating and respecting the heritage of others.
Math & Science-
which includes activities that focus on discovering the
how & why of things, exploring and experimenting with
the many technologies of daily life, and looking to future
events, roles, and responsibilities.
