to Excellence in Training

Experienced or Master Level trainers who have demonstrated outstanding service to adult development.

Citizenship in Girl Scouting

Registered volunteer who has completed required orientation and training; and who provides support through 2 or 3 short-term assignments for the council or GSUSA

Community Appreciation Award

Individuals or groups outside of Girl Scouting who have supported two or more service units.

Community Benefactor Award

Individuals or organizations whose service benefits the entire council or the entire Girl Scout movement; and has contributed to the council's goals and objectives.

Community Participation

Registered volunteer who has completed required orientation and training; and one-time or one-day service for council or GSUSA

Distinguished Service Award

Individual giving 3 or more years of outstanding service to at least one service unit. Past recipient of the Appreciation Pin.

Frontier Silver Award

Registered individual giving outstanding service to the Girl Scout movement for 25 years as an adult Girl Scout with a minimum of 5 years in Girl Scouts of Frontier Council. (May only be received once)

Honor Pin

Registered volunteer giving outstanding service to at least two or more service units.

Leadership Development Pin

Troop/ Group Leader, Assistant Leader, or Coordinator

Troop/ Group Leader, Assistant Leader, or Coordinator

Membership Numerals
(5 & 10 year)

All registered members girls and/or adult years combined. Awarded in 5 year intervals.

Membership Numerals (15 yrs and above)

All registered members- girls and/or adult years combined. Awarded in 5 year intervals.

Meritorious Service Award

To registered individual giving 5 or more years of outstanding service to two or more service units. Past recipient of the Honor Pin.

Outstanding Leader Award

Troop/ Group Leader, Assistant Leader, or Coordinator

Outstanding Volunteer Award

Any registered adult giving outstanding service other than in a leader position

President's Award

A service unit or program delivery unit whose performance meets certain standard criteria and service is truly outstanding

Social Responsibility in Girl Scouting

Registered volunteer who has completed required orientation and training; and who provides a 4th session of service to the council or GSUSA

Special Appreciation Certificate

Any individual, group or organization which has supported the Girl Scout movement.

Thanks Badge

To recognize outstanding service that benefits the total council or the entire Girl Scout organization.

Thanks Badge II

To recognize continued outstanding service given by a Thanks Badge recipient.

Trainers Pin

Adults and older girls who have completed the earned criteria for trainers. Additional criteria for each level- see Girl Scout Recognitions Booklet.

Volunteer of Distinction

To recognize outstanding service at any level. The highest Council Award given.

Years of Service Pin

Any registered  active volunteer for her/his service as an adult. Awarded in 5 year intervals.
